Pay As You Go

WHAT IS FENSA PAY AS YOU GO?

Pay as You Go (PAYG) is a new, cost-effective variation of the original FENSA scheme designed for companies who do very few replacement glazing installations each year. PAYG registered companies' do not have to issue IBGs for every job and staff do not need MTC Cards.

FENSA Pay As You Go companies will still need to be 'Certified' to demonstrate competence and undertake a commercial document audit at a Certification inspection at a live job – and this needs to be passed before registration. The Certification inspection will be repeated every three years and includes a technical assessment against the clauses of the MTC.

Appropriate homeowner financial protection against Building Regulations non-compliance will be provided by FENSA through an independently managed fund.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

PAYG companies will self-certify that an installation job is completed on the FENSA website. As FENSA is providing the financial protection, up to 100% of installations will have a sample inspection carried out. This may be changed at FENSA's discretion.

If the installation is found to be acceptable, FENSA will issue the FENSA Certificate (which many homeowners demand) and details of the financial protection.

It could not be easier or simpler. Where no inspection is made self-certification will be accepted and the FENSA certificate will be issued in the normal way.

The charge per installation will be £125 ex VAT whether or not an inspection has been carried out.

If a job needs rectification then a re-inspection will be required (for which you will be charged).

All costs are outlined below.
